Based in the UK and ready to build something from the ground up?
We're searching for an experienced Business Development Director to lead the UK expansion of an innovative AI-powered influencer marketing platform. This is a rare opportunity to build a market from the ground up, develop strategic partnerships with leading agencies and brands, and play a pivotal role in the international growth of a fast-scaling technology business.
You'll have strong support from the HQ and report directly to the leadership team. This role is designed for someone who thrives in an autonomous environment, enjoys making strategic decisions, and is excited by creating the playbook rather than simply executing one.
What you'll be responsible for
- New Business Development — building and managing your own commercial pipeline, from identifying opportunities and initiating conversations to negotiating and closing strategic partnerships.
- Strategic Partnerships — establishing and growing relationships with media agencies while also developing direct partnerships with leading brands.
- Account Ownership — acting as the primary commercial contact for your clients, nurturing long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to expand partnerships as they grow.
- Client Success — owning the full client lifecycle, ensuring long-term retention, growth and commercial success rather than handing relationships over after the initial sale.
- Market & Product Insight — bringing client feedback and market intelligence directly to the leadership and product teams, helping influence future product development.
- Strategic Partner to Leadership — working closely with senior leadership on commercial strategy, market positioning and growth opportunities for the UK market.
- Team Building — as the business grows, hiring, developing and leading your own local commercial team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
