Director of Business Development, Northern Europe
Territory: UK, Ireland, Nordics
A well-backed European small molecule CDMO offering integrated drug product and drug substance services across the development and manufacturing lifecycle. A trusted partner to pharma and biotech, taking programmes from development through to clinical and commercial supply.
The role
Own new business across UK, Ireland and the Nordics. This is a hunter seat. You will open new logos, build a qualified pipeline of development and manufacturing opportunities, and convert them into signed programmes.

What you will do
- Generate and close new business across the territory
- Sell the integrated offer, drug product and drug substance, through to clinical and commercial supply
- Build relationships with decision makers in R&D, CMC and outsourcing across pharma and biotech
- Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to proposal, negotiation and close
- Work closely with scientific and project teams to scope and cost technically credible proposals
- Represent the business at partnering events and conferences

What you need
- Proven new business record in a CDMO or pharma services environment
- Small molecule drug product knowledge and CMC understanding
- Strong existing network across UK, Ireland and the Nordics
- Genuine hunter, comfortable opening cold and carrying a number
- Credible in a technical conversation on drug product and drug substance development
- Willing to travel across the territory
Nice to have
- Experience selling integrated drug substance to drug product programmes
- Relationships with emerging biotech and specialty pharma
