Salary: £60,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 Hours
Avesbury House has an opportunity for a Director of Clinical Services to join our team.
Avesbury House, Edmonton, North London is a forensic low secure facility for men with mental health needs requiring continuing care and treatment. It is accessible by public transport, with nearby rail links at Edmonton Green and Silver Street stations and local bus routes serving the area.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
Reporting to the Hospital Director, you will be a key member of the Hospital Senior Management Team, providing strong clinical leadership across our nursing and therapy services. You will have overall responsibility for the safe, effective and high-quality delivery of clinical services, ensuring our patients receive the highest standards of care and support.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital, you will promote a positive, patient-centred culture, drive continuous improvement and ensure our clinical teams are supported to deliver the best possible outcomes and experience for our patients.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health and Care Professions Council
- Experience working at a supervisory or managerial level within a relevant clinical setting.
- At least 2 years experience working as a Ward Manager or equivalent.
- Experience of managing clinical budgets and resources effectively.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop clinical teams.
- Experience of leading, implementing and reviewing quality improvement initiatives within a relevant clinical environment.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with an understanding of how communication can impact different audiences.
- Ability to adapt and flex communication style depending on the situation, audience and message.
