Help shape the future of a successful and ambitious regional law firm.
Banner Jones is seeking an experienced compliance and risk professional to join our Board and lead the firm's compliance, governance and regulatory functions.
This is a rare opportunity to take on a well-established role with the support of an experienced compliance team, robust systems and a structured handover programme.
We are looking for someone who can combine sound judgement, commercial awareness and strong leadership skills to help us maintain the high professional standards for which the firm is known.
The Role
You will work closely with our Board, department heads and support teams to:
- Act as the firm's COLP and MLRO (or work towards assuming these roles).
- Provide strategic advice on risk, governance and regulatory matters.
- Oversee the firm's compliance framework and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support a positive compliance culture across the business.
- Lead and develop an established compliance team.
- Help shape the next phase of our growth and succession plans.

About You
You may already be a COLP, MLRO, Head of Compliance or Risk & Compliance Manager, or you may have developed substantial compliance experience within a regulated legal environment and be ready for a broader leadership role.
You will bring:
- Strong knowledge of legal regulation and risk management.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Pragmatic commercial judgement.
- A collaborative and approachable leadership style.
- The confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and regulators.
