About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to shape a dynamic and diverse curriculum at scale, one that reflects the pace, creativity and evolving skills needs of both the creative industries and wider service sectors.
As Director of Creative & Performing Arts, you will lead a significant curriculum portfolio spanning creative arts, performing arts, music, media, fashion, hair and beauty. You will drive a curriculum that is innovative, industry-informed and delivers outstanding outcomes for learners, employers and the communities we serve.
- Take ownership of performance across recruitment, retention, achievement and progression.
- Develop and empower high-performing teams to deliver consistently strong provision.
- Lead quality improvement across the directorate.
- Champion excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.
- Use data, insight and collaboration to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with employers, industry partners and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Ensure the curriculum remains current, relevant and responsive to future skills needs.

You will bring substantial experience of curriculum leadership within further education, education, training or a comparable sector, together with a proven track record of improving performance and leading teams through change. Experience within vocational or industry-based settings would be advantageous but is not essential. With a recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level 5), you will be confident operating at a senior level and contributing to wider organisational priorities.

Salary
£60,768 - £66,078 per annum
