We're looking for an exceptional Director of Customer Experience to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead this transformation.
This is more than a customer services leadership role. It is an opportunity to redefine how customers engage with MTVH, ensuring every interaction is simple, effective, and centred on achieving the best possible outcomes.
You will lead the development and delivery of our Customer Experience Plan, creating a modern, data-led and digitally enabled customer proposition that improves satisfaction, drives operational efficiency, and strengthens trust with our customers and communities.
About The Role
As Director of Customer Experience, you will be the organisation's strategic lead for customer experience, customer contact, customer voice, complaints, and customer account management.
Working closely with fellow directors across Housing, Leaseholder Services, Neighbourhoods, Property, Technology and Corporate Services, you will ensure the customer's voice shapes decision-making and service design across MTVH.
You Will
- Develop and deliver MTVH's Customer Experience Plan.
- Lead customer contact, customer account management, customer complaints and customer voice services.
- Create a seamless omni-channel customer experience across digital, voice and self-service platforms.
- Drive the adoption of technology, AI and automation to improve customer outcomes and service efficiency.
- Embed customer insight and resident feedback into service design and continuous improvement activity.
- Lead MTVH's approach to customer influence and engagement in line with evolving consumer regulation.
- Ensure excellence in complaint handling and compliance with Housing Ombudsman requirements.
- Drive improvements in income collection, arrears performance and customer financial outcomes.
- Use performance data and insight to deliver measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, efficiency and value for money.
- Champion a culture where the end-to-end customer journey is at the heart of every decision.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
