Director of Customer Success
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Customer Success based in the United Kingdom.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a customer-focused professional to own the strategy and execution of the post-sale customer experience.
The role will drive retention, expansion, adoption, and long-term customer value across a growing B2B SaaS environment.
You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on engagement, stepping into key accounts when needed to resolve challenges and accelerate outcomes.
A major focus will be building scalable Customer Success frameworks, playbooks, health-scoring processes, and lifecycle standards.
You will lead and develop a growing CS team while partnering closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and executive leadership.
Success will be measured through meaningful business outcomes, particularly net revenue retention, churn reduction, adoption, and expansion revenue.
This is an ideal role for an autonomous, player-coach leader who thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
Accountabilities
- Own overall Customer Success strategy, retention, and expansion targets, with direct accountability for net revenue retention (NRR) and churn outcomes.
- Drive customer adoption by increasing both the breadth and depth of product usage across accounts.
- Coach, enable, and support the Customer Success team while personally engaging with strategic accounts when additional leadership or intervention is required.
- Lead, develop, and scale the Customer Success organization, including hiring and onboarding future team members.
- Build and continuously refine a scalable Customer Success playbook covering onboarding, adoption, renewal, expansion, and ongoing account management.
- Establish success plans, customer health-scoring frameworks, account management standards, and other processes that improve customer outcomes.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and other teams to communicate customer needs and represent the voice of the customer.
- Maintain accurate customer health visibility, forecasting, and reporting through HubSpot, Salesforce, or comparable CRM platforms.
- Identify customer risks and expansion opportunities proactively and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop processes that are directly connected to measurable retention, adoption, and expansion outcomes rather than administrative activity alone.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
