Director – Cyber Security Governance & Risk

London | Hybrid

I’m currently working with a leading global financial institution that is looking to appoint a Director of Cyber Security Governance & Risk into its senior Cyber Security function.

This is a high-profile role with significant exposure to senior leadership, regulators, Audit, Risk and Control functions, providing an opportunity to influence Cyber Security governance and risk strategy at an enterprise level.

The Role

You will play a key role in providing Cyber Security governance, oversight and risk management, helping to ensure the organisation maintains a robust and effective control environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing senior-level oversight of Cyber Security risk and controls
  • Working closely with regulators, Audit, Risk and Control functions
  • Acting as a senior Cyber Security representative in high-level governance forums
  • Facing off to internal and external auditors, providing constructive challenge where appropriate
  • Helping develop and establish Cyber Security policies, standards and governance frameworks
  • Identifying, assessing and managing Cyber Security risks across the organisation
  • Influencing senior stakeholders and providing clear recommendations on Cyber Security risk
  • Initially managing a small team, with scope for the function to grow over time
