Director of Data & AI - Insurance Transformation - Contract (Outside IR35)
We’re partnering with a rapidly growing organisation within the general insurance sector undergoing significant business and operational transformation to appoint a Director of Data & AI.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving business efficiencies, operational improvement, and AI-enabled transformation through the effective use of data, automation, and intelligent technologies.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s data and AI capability — helping identify opportunities to optimise processes, improve decision-making, enhance customer outcomes, and support scalable growth across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading the development and execution of the organisation’s Data & AI strategy
- Driving AI-enabled business transformation and operational efficiency initiatives
- Building and embedding data-driven decision-making capabilities across the organisation
- Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual processes, and optimise operations through AI and automation
- Leading data governance, reporting, and insight capabilities
- Partnering with operational, technology, and business leaders to align data and AI initiatives with strategic priorities
- Supporting the development of scalable AI, analytics, and automation capabilities
- Driving cultural adoption of AI and data-led ways of working across the business

Experience We’re Looking For
- General insurance / broking / regulated financial services
- Data strategy, analytics, and AI capability development
- Business transformation and operational improvement
- AI enablement, intelligent automation, and digital transformation
- Stakeholder engagement and leadership across complex environments
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future data and AI capability of a forward-thinking insurance organisation investing heavily in transformation and operational excellence.
Rate: Up to £1000 per day, initial 6 month contract
Working Model: Hybrid, offices in London
