Director of Digital Marketing (General Manager)

London | Up to £120k p.a.

This is a business built on precision, from the treatment room to the checkout, and it needs someone who thinks digital first. Our client, a premium beauty brand rooted in Kensington, is looking for a Director of Digital Marketing to step into the General Manager seat: full commercial ownership, with ecommerce and digital performance as the engine room. This is a rare brief for someone who has built their career on beauty ecommerce and wants the platform to run the whole business through that lens.

Your New Role

  • Take full ownership of business performance as General Manager, with ecommerce and digital marketing as the driving focus
  • Own ecommerce performance in detail: conversion, average order value, retention and fulfilment
  • Lead digital marketing strategy, user experience, stock flow and online operational execution
  • Set and deliver ambitious sales, margin and profitability targets across clinic, ecommerce and distribution
  • Use data and performance metrics to guide commercial decisions across every channel
  • Steer B2B distribution, including supply chain, stock planning and logistics
  • Take full P&L ownership including budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
  • Build and lead a high performing management team, with clear accountability at every level
  • Report directly to the Board with commercial clarity and digital insight
  • Protect the brand across every touchpoint, online and in person

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your Talents

  • You have built your career in beauty ecommerce and know that world from the inside: the platforms, the customer journey, the margins.
  • You bring senior leadership experience in a fast paced, multi channel business, with the financial instincts to own a P&L and the confidence to lead experienced teams.
  • This role asks for someone who leads with digital expertise but thinks like a General Manager: commercially sharp, decisive and comfortable owning the whole picture, not just the online slice of it.

Why Apply

  • This is a genuine General Manager opportunity built around a digital marketing skillset, not a marketing role dressed up with a bigger title.
  • You will have real influence over strategy at Board level, the scope to shape a multi-channel business end to end, and a brand where digital excellence is treated as central to commercial success, not a bolt-on.
  • For a beauty ecommerce specialist ready to lead a business, not just a channel, this is that step up.
