Role Description
The Director of Donor Relations is a part-time, remote role responsible for leading and strengthening relationships with individual donors, foundations, and other philanthropic partners. This role includes:

- Designing and implementing donor stewardship plans
- Overseeing donor communications
- Ensuring timely acknowledgments and impact reports
- Managing giving programs
- Collaborating with fundraising and communications teams to craft donor-centric messaging
- Analyzing donor data to support retention and growth

Day-to-day responsibilities also include:
- Coordinating virtual donor events
- Developing engagement strategies for key donor segments
- Maintaining accurate records in donor management systems
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Donor Relations and Philanthropy, including stewarding major and mid-level donors.
- Knowledge of Planned Giving strategies and the ability to collaborate on long-term philanthropic commitments.
- Experience managing Annual Giving programs and campaigns to support ongoing organizational needs.
- Background in Alumni Relations or similar constituent engagement, with a focus on relationship-building and retention.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling donor communications and impact reports.
- Proficiency with CRM or donor management systems and comfort working with data to inform strategy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams and time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization, especially in child-focused or international development contexts, is an asset.
