eCommerce Director

South West UK

A dynamic, successful, growing UK-based digital business is seeking an eCommerce Director to lead the next critical phase of its evolution.

The business operates at significant scale generating hundreds of millions in annual revenue. With strong fundamentals in place and a well-established acquisition engine, the next phase of growth is focused on optimising customer journeys, increasing conversion, and driving greater lifetime value through a more sophisticated, data-led approach to digital experience and CRM.

This is a newly created, high-impact leadership role reporting to the C-suite, with regular exposure to the CEO and executive team. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end digital customer journey across web and app, including trading performance, experimentation, personalisation, and lifecycle engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning digital trading performance across all customer touchpoints, driving conversion, revenue per session, and customer value
  • Building and embedding a robust experimentation and test-and-learn culture
  • Defining and delivering a clear, prioritised roadmap across digital experience and customer journeys
  • Leading CRM and customer engagement strategy to drive repeat behaviour and long-term value
  • Working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Commercial teams to deliver measurable outcomes
  • Building and leading a high-performing, commercially focused team

Candidates Must Bring

  • Proven experience owning digital trading, eCommerce performance, or customer journey optimisation within a transactional online business
  • Strong commercial accountability for metrics such as conversion, revenue, or customer lifetime value
  • Experience building experimentation capability and leveraging data to drive decisions
  • A collaborative, hands-on leadership style suited to a non-corporate, high-trust culture
