About the Role

With more than 26,000 fellows and members, the Royal College of Anaesthetists is the UK's third largest medical royal college and the professional body for the NHS's largest hospital specialty. Our employees and volunteers deliver a wide-ranging portfolio of education, training, assessment, professional support, advocacy and policy work, working alongside our members to support them throughout their careers while representing the interests of our specialties and the patients they care for.

From setting the standards for recruitment into anaesthetics training, to developing and maintaining curricula, quality assurance and guidance, portfolio pathway assessments and the setting, maintenance and development of examinations, the Director of Education, Training and Examinations continually upholds and develops standards for anaesthetists in the UK and overseas. Newly settled in our Jubilee House headquarters and developing a new corporate strategy, the College is entering a pivotal phase in its history as we look for our new Director of Education, Training and Examinations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
