Electrical Lead, Data Centres (Director Level)

First Point Group is partnering exclusively with a world-leading engineering and design consultancy on a key senior hire for its growing UK data centre practice.

Our client is an employee-owned consultancy with a collaborative, people-first culture, where engineers are trusted to do their best work and a healthy work–life balance is genuinely supported, not just promised.

This is a rare chance to become the senior electrical voice in a consultancy-led data centre business and build the UK electrical team from the ground up. You'll shape how the practice grows, win and lead work with major data centre clients, and set the electrical design standard across a high-profile pipeline of projects.

The Role

Lead the electrical discipline across the UK data centre practice, reporting directly to the European Data Centre Lead.

  • Own electrical design governance, technical assurance and standards across all data centre work.
  • Drive business development: build client relationships with hyperscalers, colocation providers and developers, shape bids and win new work.
  • Recruit, develop and lead a UK electrical team as the practice scales.
  • Stay close to the engineering, with hands-on delivery on key projects.
  • Act as a trusted technical adviser to clients and senior stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
