Salary Grade N (£103,311 - £112,596 + pending pay award)

Warwickshire Police are looking for an outstanding leader to join our Senior Leadership team as Director of Enabling Services. This role leads Business Operations, Human Resources, Resource Planning, Occupational Health, Legitimacy, Equality and Inclusion (LEI) and Learning and Development. The Business Operations team includes Estates and Facilities, Fleet, Seized Property, Uniforms and Operational Equipment and Administration.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Constable, you will help shape the future of Warwickshire Police, ensuring our people, systems and processes contribute to delivering policing excellence.

You will lead economic, efficient and effective services including transformation initiatives and champion inclusive and collaborative ways of working to drive customer-focused high-quality services across the organisation. You will play a key role in delivering a highly skilled and motivated workforce in a large, complex organisation.

Working closely with colleagues, partners and stakeholders, you will help foster a culture where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. By championing our Values of Service, Pride, Compassion and Learning, you will inspire high performance, collaboration and continuous improvement across the Force.

About This Role

  • Provides strategic leadership for the Enabling Services Directorate, influencing corporate decision-making through expert knowledge, advice and insight
  • Monitors and manages the performance and operational effectiveness of the Enabling Services Directorate. This includes managing significant budgets and resources, ensuring value for money and control of expenditure within the agreed budgets and financial management arrangements
  • Provides leadership for organisational transformation, shaping culture, improving systems and delivering change programmes that support organisational priorities
  • Ensures that a culture of learning, coaching, talent development and high-performance standards is achieved to maximise the potential of the workforce and drive business improvement
  • Leads on the delivery of strategy, policy, procedures and practices in all areas of responsibility
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, customers, Trade Unions, suppliers and partners

What You Will Bring

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • A Degree level education or equivalent
  • Professional qualifications in one of the disciplines within the Directorate
  • An understanding of the political, economic and social factors impacting policing

Experience

  • Experience of working in a complex organisation at a senior management level
  • Experience of delivering transformational change programmes
  • Strong track record of service improvement and innovation, target setting and evaluation for performance improvement
  • Experience of leading multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience of operating effectively within financially constrained environments
