Role Overview
The Director of Engineering is responsible for the technical landscape that supports Client Service operations across Vista Global and its entities.
This role defines and executes the vision for Client Service technology, leading multiple engineering teams under the Client Service vertical and providing oversight for technical delivery across the Client Service Technology Roadmap. The Director partners with Client Service Stakeholders, Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to shape and execute on product strategy and roadmap, while aligning with the overall technical direction and adherence to processes established by the company.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead multiple engineering teams under the Client Service vertical, providing oversight for technical delivery across the Client Service Technology Roadmap
- Supervise and coach on all aspects of software engineering project roadmaps, resource allocation, and execution
- Manage, mentor, and build talented software engineering teams to produce resilient, scalable software and secure data with highest quality
- Co-responsible for budget estimation, allocation, and control within the Client Service engineering teams and technical roadmap
- Coordinate and manage external vendors providing technical services, including ensuring high quality and productive work product
- Partner with Client Service Stakeholders, Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to shape and execute on product strategy and roadmap
- Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
- Technical ownership of Vista Global’s various in-house bespoke solutions, integrations with COTS Client Service systems, legacy applications, and new application development including CRM, booking, communication, and customer engagement platforms
- Work to modernize legacy applications and existing tech stacks by developing and deploying bespoke solutions and new applications into cloud environments in alignment with Enterprise Architecture and best practices
- Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across the full stack and integrating with enterprise class client-facing systems
- Foster and cultivate a culture of continuous delivery and improvement with an emphasis on full lifecycle ownership of the applications that teams deliver
- Build transformative technology that makes Client Service delivery more seamless, personalized, and efficient than ever
- Champion the adoption of Agentic AI within the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including leveraging LLM APIs and AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and drive intelligent automation across engineering workflows
- Perform any other tasks reasonably required in accordance with instructions of the Reporting Manager
- Occasional travel - may be required to travel to international sites occasionally.

- Directly manage Engineering Managers and Senior Engineers within Client Service engineering teams.
- Oversee team leads, developers, and QA resources across multiple squads.
Required Skills, Qualifications, And Experience
Education and/or Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications in AWS cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer), Agile (SAFe, Scrum), or CRM platforms are a plus.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple engineering teams.
- Strong background in client-facing systems, CRM platforms, or customer service technology solutions. Proven track record of delivering large-scale enterprise software projects.
- Experience with AWS cloud migration, microservices architecture, and modern DevOps practices. Familiarity with Agentic AI, large language model (LLM) APIs, and AI-assisted development workflows is highly desirable.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Deep expertise in software engineering principles, architecture patterns, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of client service systems (CRM, booking, communication platforms, customer engagement tools).
- Proficiency in AWS cloud platform services and architecture. Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to balance technical debt with business delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of Agentic AI concepts and their practical application within the SDLC to enhance engineering productivity and product capabilities.
