Director of Engineering

A genuinely influential leadership opportunity within a market-leading Prop / FinTech business built around a powerful data moat who are looking for a very Product Minded Engineering leader to sit as the number 2 in the Tech team.

Reporting to the CTO, you’ll be their most senior technology report, playing a key role across a 70+ person technology function.

This is not a hands-on coding role. You’ll lead established software and data engineering teams, with responsibility for:

  • Owning technology strategy across key product lines
  • Unlocking greater value from unique data assets
  • Partnering with Product and Commercial leadership
  • Driving resilience, scalability and security
  • Guiding architecture alongside senior engineers
  • Developing Engineering Managers and technical talent

We’re looking for an established Head or Director of Engineering who has led complex, data-led platforms and can connect engineering strategy with commercial value.

💰 £130,000–£160,000 base
