Client Details

Our client is a growing and ambitious organisation operating within the education sector, supporting multiple sites and serving a diverse community across the South of England. Having experienced significant expansion in recent years, they are now entering an exciting phase of strategic growth, with further development projects, new site openings and organisational transformation initiatives planned for the coming years.

Description

Monitor budgets and oversee resource allocation for operational activities. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director of Estates and HR will provide strategic and operational leadership across HR, estates, IT and business operations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the delivery of the organisation's people, estates and digital strategies.
  • Driving organisational growth projects, including onboarding new sites and supporting expansion initiatives.
  • Providing leadership to HR, IT and operational teams, developing capability and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Overseeing estates and facilities management to ensure safe, compliant and effective environments.
  • Leading organisational change and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory, governance, health & safety and operational requirements.
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, trustees, leaders and external partners.
  • Contributing as a key member of the executive leadership team and helping shape long-term organisational strategy.

Profile

A successful Director of Estates and HR will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading operational functions at a strategic level.
  • Strong HR leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of Estates management, ideally in a Multi-Academy Trust environment.
  • A track record of delivering organisational growth, transformation or large-scale projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at board and executive level.
  • Strong leadership capability, with experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Commercial acumen combined with a people-focused approach.
  • The confidence to operate autonomously and drive initiatives forward in a fast-moving environment.
