Director of European Leisure Sales
Responsibilities at Raffles London

European Leisure Market Sales & Events Manager
Role Overview You will lead and manage the European and Leisure markets, driving sales for rooms, events, and banqueting while ensuring seamless guest engagement. Responsibilities include:
- Fostering relations, growing brand recognition, and achieving time-sensitive financial targets
- Building reputation as one of London’s top-tier luxury hotels for leisure, families, extended stays, and regular guests
- On-site client meetings, collaboration with events and concierge teams, and ensuring a luxury service experience
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing Leadership
To create, implement, and nurture sales strategies for Raffles London while building its reputation:
- Develop and execute sales strategies in line with the Director of Sales & Marketing and budget goals
- Engage in networking events, trade shows, and market Missions
- Prospect for new accounts via calls, e-mails, virtual presentations, and in-person visits
- Identify and manage key clients to maximize revenue
- Maintain a updated portfolio of top accounts
- Stay optimally informed of competitor activity, school holiday schedules, diplomatic events, and economic trends, and adapt strategies

Account & Database Management
- Coordinate FAM trips (familiarisation trips) for key accounts to enhance loyalty
- Collaborate with the Reservations Team to present enquiries with creativity
- Master revenue management, align with the Director of Revenue Strategy, and achieve hotel objectives
- Maintain a comprehensive account management system, updating bookings and tracking
Finance & Compliance
- Ensure budget adherence on sales expenses and transparent payment scheduling
- Submit reports to Director of Sales when required
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Accor National Account Managers, Regional Sales Offices, and Luxury Sales Team
- Collaborate with Sales & Communications Directors on trade marketing campaigns
Service Excellence
- Acknowledge the need for 24-hour operational readiness
- Stay hands-on with VIP guests, understanding their evolving needs
- Deeply connect with clients to build lasting relationships and ensure service excellence
Flexibility & Ad-hoc Tasking
- Cover tasks within the department or across departments (e.g., restaurants) when required
Conceptual Skills & Championship
- Thinking entrepreneurially and creatively beyond usual boundaries
Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in the European leisure market
- Minimum 2 years in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment
- Extensive network of corporate and diplomatic contacts
- Ability to provide outstanding service under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills (written and spoken)
- Proficient time management and the ability to multitask while maintaining a polished appearance
- Understanding and willingness to adhere to 24-hour operations as necessary

Desirable
- Experience in a Luxury QA (Forbes 5-star+) hotel environment
- Professional French (spoken)
