Finance Director and Corporate Services

Location: London
Contract: Permanent
Salary: c£95,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director and Corporate Services to manage our finances and processes to support over 300 environmental and community projects in London and the South East.

Not-for-profit organization Groundwork London are looking for an experienced Finance Director who has worked in a complex organization, ideally within a project-led environment. This role sits in the SLT, reporting to the Executive Director and the Board, and is responsible for finance, HR, IT, and facilities. This role is perfect for someone with broad experience and who wants to make an instant impact.

From a finance perspective, the FD is responsible for all strategic finance and budgeting and forecasting, as well as leading on statutory accounts and reporting. This is a broad role, leading a finance team of 8.

You will be a motivated and innovative individual who is:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant with significant experience leading across finance as well as with some exposure to other corporate services functions, i.e., HR, IT, Facilities
  • Confident leading a growing finance function, particularly within a service-led industry with multiple projects running at once
  • Has experience working in a tight-knit Senior Leadership Team, and reporting to the Board
  • Is excited by Groundwork’s mission and values

In addition to your technical skills, you will be an excellent communicator, will be able to develop strong relationships with your colleagues and clients, and support a professional team and service culture.
