Role Description
The Finance Director - Fractional will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight for Sacro’s operations. This full-time hybrid role is based in Edinburgh, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading financial planning and budgeting cycles, managing financial reporting and analysis, and overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements. The role will support the senior leadership team with data-driven insights, risk assessments, and recommendations to ensure financial sustainability and compliance. The Finance Director will also collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, enhance financial controls and processes, and contribute to long-term financial strategy aligned with Sacro’s mission and values.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, review, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support evidence-based decision making.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA) or equivalent experience in senior finance roles.
- Experience in leading finance teams, implementing robust financial controls, and working with boards or senior leadership.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-specialists.
- Commitment to Sacro’s values, including inclusion, respect, and empowerment, and experience working in or with mission-driven or non-profit organizations is advantageous.
- Comfort with hybrid working arrangements and the ability to collaborate effectively both on-site in Edinburgh and remotely.
