DACS (Design and Artists Copyright Society) | London | Salary: £90,000 - £95,000 per annum | Full-time or 0.8 FTE (with salary pro rata)

DACS is the UK's leading visual artists' rights management organisation, working to ensure artists are recognised, respected, and rewarded for their work. Through royalties, licensing and advocacy, DACS supports artists and their estates while championing intellectual property rights across the visual arts sector.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Director of Finance & IT to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for the strategic and operational direction of finance, distribution and IT, ensuring DACS has the financial strength, systems and infrastructure required to deliver its mission and long-term ambitions.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will lead all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and management, providing expert advice to the Board, Audit & Risk Committee and Executive Team. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, investment performance and regulatory compliance, whilst ensuring robust controls and effective risk management across the organisation.

The role also has responsibility for the leadership and development of DACS' technology and information systems, ensuring they support operational excellence, continuous improvement, and future growth. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will play a key role in evaluating new opportunities, assessing organisational capacity and supporting the successful delivery of strategic priorities.

About You

You will be a professionally qualified accountant with significant senior leadership experience and a track record of operating at both strategic and operational levels. You will bring strong commercial and financial acumen, experience of leading high-performing teams and the ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders. Experience of overseeing technology, systems or digital transformation programmes would be advantageous.
