Sky is creating a dedicated Finance Processes & Products team to shape the future of finance processes, systems, and data. Sitting at the centre of Finance and partnering with Technology, the team will drive simplification, automation, stronger process ownership, and better use of platforms, data, and AI across Sky Finance. The team’s remit spans core finance processes, finance platforms, and major transformation activity, including ERP, reporting, planning, data, automation, and continuous improvement. It will be central to delivering a more modern, effective, and scalable finance operating model.
The role
The Director of Finance Processes & Products will lead this new team and set the strategy for finance transformation across Sky. The role will bring together process, product, and project leadership, ensuring Finance has the right roadmap, capabilities, and ways of working to support the business. You’ll lead a team, manage senior stakeholders across multiple functions and markets, and oversee major change activity including ERP upgrades, AI, data lake, and broader finance transformation initiatives.
What you'll do:
- Develop the finance transformation strategy & roadmaps for Sky: to meet business priorities and in the broader organisation context; driving simplification, automation, operational excellence, and business value
- Build & lead Finance Processes & Products at Sky:
- Processes: optimise business outcomes through ensuring effective end-to-end finance processes, including A2R/R2R, P2P, O2C, and FP&A.
- Products: maximise value from finance products, platforms, and capabilities, including transactions and financial reporting. Identify and leverage emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to transform finance operations, decision-making, and colleague experience.
- Projects: deliver strategic change and transformation initiatives successfully, including ERP upgrades, AI, and data lake initiatives. Lead complex business change programmes, ensuring successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working across multiple markets and functions.
- Activate resources: defining, leading, and developing the team; scoping and managing third parties
- Manage stakeholders: manage a cross-functional portfolio of senior stakeholders including in Finance, Procurement, Technology, HR, Consumer Group, Media
- Role model the Sky values: welcoming; creative; simplifying; do the right thing.

What you’ll bring:
- Qualified accountant or equivalent
- Significant experience leading ERP, EPM, and enterprise technology transformations within global organisations. Strong ERP and EPM system expertise experience, including ideally SAP, Ariba, AI, data lake
- Proven experience leading large-scale finance transformation programmes and shaping long-term finance operating models.
- Demonstrated track record of driving process simplification, operational efficiency, and measurable business outcomes, from small continuous improvement to major ERP implementation/upgrade, including waterfall and agile approaches
- Experience in large complex multinational matrix organisations, especially UK, Italy, US
- Experience supporting all specialisms across finance including commercial finance, shared services, controllership, etc
- Proven team management & development
- Strong executive stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across diverse business functions
