Transform Housing & Support

Transform Housing & Support is a purpose-led charity and provider of social housing, supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across Surrey, West Sussex, Berkshire and South West London. Since 1972, we have combined safe accommodation with housing-related support, advice and life-skills development to help people live independent and fulfilling lives.

We Are Looking for an Ambitious and Values-Led Director of Finance

We are now looking for an ambitious and values-led Director of Finance to join our Executive Team and play a pivotal role in shaping Transform’s next chapter.

This is an exciting time to join Transform. We are investing in our Finance function, including a new structure and finance system designed to reduce manual processes, strengthen resilience and create a more efficient, forward-looking service. You will lead this transformation, build a high-performing team and ensure Finance provides the insight, assurance and challenge needed to support sustainable growth and excellent services.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will provide strategic financial leadership to the Board and Executive Team, overseeing financial strategy, planning, treasury, risk, governance, assurance and value for money. You will be a trusted adviser, helping colleagues turn strategic ambition into disciplined, well-informed decisions.

Key Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong track record of senior financial leadership in a complex organisation
  • Strategic and commercial thinking, sound technical expertise
  • Experience across financial planning, treasury, loan finance, covenant compliance and governance

Personal Attributes

Just as importantly, you will be an inclusive and collaborative leader who can bring people with you through change. You will combine a commercial mind with a social heart. We are looking for someone who can communicate complex financial information clearly, build confidence and relationships across the organisation, and ensure Finance is a proactive partner in delivering Transform’s mission.
