Help shape the future of a newly incorporated mental health CIC
We're seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Executive Leadership Team and help build strong financial governance, sustainability and long-term impact as Serenity grows across the UK.

As Serenity grows and reaches its Salary Activation Threshold (SAT), this voluntary executive leadership role is intended to transition into a paid position, subject to the organisation's financial sustainability and governance processes.
We Would Particularly Welcome Applicants Who Have Experience In
- Financial management, accounting or strategic finance leadership.
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Financial governance, internal controls and risk management.
- Producing financial reports and supporting strategic decision-making.
- Working with charities, social enterprises or purpose-driven organisations (desirable but not essential).
- Supporting organisations through periods of growth and organisational development.

What will you be doing?
The Serenity Project has recently incorporated as a Community Interest Company (CIC) and is entering an exciting period of growth as we prepare to launch our digital mental health platform.
We're looking for an experienced Director of Finance to join our Executive Leadership Team and help establish the financial foundations that will support Serenity for years to come.
This is an opportunity to help shape a purpose-driven organisation from the very beginning, ensuring we grow responsibly, transparently and sustainably while delivering meaningful social impact.
What You'll Be Doing
As Director of Finance, you will work closely with the Founder, Chair and fellow Executive Directors to
- Develop and oversee Serenity's financial strategy.
- Establish budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
- Build robust financial governance, policies and internal controls.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial insight.
- Help prepare the organisation for grants, funding opportunities and future investment.
- Ensure the organisation maintains strong financial accountability and good governance.
- Contribute to the long-term sustainability and growth of Serenity.
