Group Director of FP&A

We have partnered with a high-growth, private equity-backed technology-enabled business who are looking to appoint a Group Director of FP&A, based in Central London.

This is a critical leadership role within a business entering the next phase of its growth journey. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will play a pivotal role in driving value creation, enhancing business performance, and ensuring the finance function is equipped to support continued growth, strategic transactions, and a future exit event.

The successful candidate will combine best-in-class FP&A leadership with strong commercial and strategic finance capabilities. You will work closely with the Board, private equity sponsors, lenders, investors, and external advisors, providing financial insight that underpins key business decisions and long-term value creation initiatives.

This role offers significant exposure to M&A, financing activities, investor engagement, and finance transformation, alongside a clear succession path to CFO.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting into the Group CFO, you will lead the Group FP&A function while supporting a broad range of strategic finance initiatives across the business.

You will:

  • Build and develop a best-in-class FP&A function capable of supporting a high-growth, PE-backed organisation
  • Drive the transition from historical reporting towards forward-looking forecasting, predictive analytics, and actionable commercial insight
  • Establish a rigorous monthly forecasting and performance management cadence
  • Develop robust bottom-up financial models, scenario planning capabilities, and long-range strategic plans
  • Provide insightful analysis and strategic recommendations to the Executive Team, Board, and shareholders
  • Drive performance visibility across the organisation, identifying opportunities to accelerate growth and improve profitability
  • Lead the production of high-quality management information and board reporting
  • Partner with operational leaders to embed a data-driven decision-making culture across the business
  • Ensure the business remains transaction-ready and capable of meeting investor and stakeholder expectations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
