Director of Fire & DSEAR Consultancy

Are you an experienced Fire Safety or DSEAR professional looking to lead and grow a specialist consultancy business?

PIB Risk Management is seeking a commercially focused Director of Fire & DSEAR Consultancy to lead the strategic growth, performance, and development of our Fire & DSEAR practice.

This is an outstanding opportunity to shape the future of an established consultancy offering, driving business growth, developing client relationships, leading a team of specialists, and identifying new market opportunities.

We're looking for someone with the technical credibility to lead within the Fire Safety and DSEAR sector, coupled with the leadership skills and commercial mindset to build a high-performing consultancy practice. We recognize that many of the strongest candidates may come mainly from a Fire Risk Management or Fire Safety background, so training in DSEAR would be provided where needed.

This role would suit an existing Director, Head of Fire, Consultancy Manager, or Senior Fire Risk Assessor looking to make a significant impact within a growing business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the growth strategy, performance, and profitability of the Fire & DSEAR Consultancy division.
  • Developing and strengthening relationships with clients, insurers, brokers, and key stakeholders.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities while expanding existing client accounts.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of specialist Fire & DSEAR consultants.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality consultancy services, technical governance, and regulatory compliance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
