Salary: Up to £90,000 + bonus
We are looking for an exceptional F&B Director to lead the food and beverage operation of a distinctive luxury lifestyle hotel in East London. This is a high-profile leadership role for a commercially astute, guest-focused hospitality professional who understands that great F&B is about far more than service, it is about creating memorable experiences, building destination venues and delivering a strong, sustainable commercial performance.
You will take strategic and operational ownership of the hotel's F&B proposition, leading a diverse portfolio of outlets and experiences while playing a key role in shaping the hotel's overall identity and reputation.
As F&B Director, you will be responsible for the overall performance, strategy and evolution of the hotel's food and beverage operation. You'll lead from the front, inspiring a talented team and ensuring every touchpoint reflects the standards, personality and ambition of a luxury lifestyle brand.
Responsibilities:
- Setting and delivering the overall F&B strategy in partnership with the General Manager and senior leadership team.
- Leading the hotel's restaurant, lounge, bar, events, in-room dining and wider F&B experiences.
- Driving revenue, profitability and commercial performance across the department.
- Developing innovative concepts, menus and guest experiences that position the hotel as a genuine East London destination.

- Recruiting, developing and retaining high-performing F&B leaders and teams.
- Working closely with culinary leadership to ensure food quality, consistency and commercial success.
- Owning budgets, forecasting, labour costs, purchasing and departmental P&L performance.
- Developing strategic partnerships, activations and collaborations that strengthen the hotel's profile within London's vibrant food, drink and lifestyle scene.
- Ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and consistently high operational standards.
- Working cross-functionally with Sales & Marketing, Rooms, Events and other departments to maximise the hotel's overall commercial performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
