Director of FP&A | 6-month contract (immediate start) | £130,000 - £145,000 per annum
Altum Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join a global luxury travel group on an interim basis.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, this is a senior leadership role responsible for driving financial planning, performance management, and strategic analysis across a complex international business. The role will provide clear visibility on performance, strengthen financial discipline, and support executive decision-making across multiple brands and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecasting across the Group.
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly performance reporting, identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Track commercial KPIs including revenue, margin, occupancy, yield, pricing, and profitability.
- Prepare high-quality Board, shareholder, and lender reporting, translating complex financial data into clear commercial insight.
- Enhance FP&A reporting, dashboards, and automation using Power BI or equivalent tools.
- Consolidate and analyse data from multiple systems, improving data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
- Lead and develop the FP&A team while strengthening processes, tools, and business partnering across the Group.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have significant senior-level FP&A experience within a complex, international organisation, ideally within travel, hospitality, or transportation.

You will ideally have:
- 10+ years' experience across FP&A, financial planning, performance management, and managerial control.
- Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Experience working across multiple businesses, geographies, and data sources.
- Strong data analytics capability, including Power BI or equivalent tools.
- A track record of improving reporting, processes, and FP&A capability.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the credibility to operate at CFO, executive, and Board level.
