Central London

STOIX is supporting a £multi-billion global technology services provider, growing fast through organic expansion and acquisition. As part of continued investment in its governance infrastructure, the CFO is hiring a Director, Governance, Risk & Compliance to report directly into them.

This isn't a maintenance role. You'll design and embed a COSO-aligned control framework, run enterprise risk management end to end, and own business continuity and resilience, for a business that hasn't yet built the governance scaffolding of a listed company.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We're looking for someone who's seen what good looks like inside a large PLC, ideally TMT, and knows how to translate that rigour into a business without the compliance apparatus, not import it wholesale.

You'll have:

  • Built or materially uplifted a COSO framework, not just operated one
  • Run an ERM programme with real board or audit committee reporting
  • Owned business continuity and resilience planning that's actually been tested
  • Large-scale, complex organisation experience; PLC background strongly preferred
