Director of Growth (Contract, UK-based)
About the Role
A well-established, mission-led wellness brand is seeking a hands-on Director of Growth to lead the profitable expansion of its Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channel, with a secondary remit spanning Retail, Amazon, and TikTok.
Operating as a remote contractor aligned with East Coast US business hours, you will join the core leadership team to execute a broad acquisition strategy, manage full-funnel performance marketing, and direct an established roster of external agency partners.
Core Responsibilities
- Paid Media Acquisition: Hands-on ownership of media buying across Meta, Google, and TikTok, constantly optimizing offers, landing pages, creative assets, and spend efficiency.
- Omnichannel Growth: Direct Amazon PPC strategy and TikTok Shop’s GMV Max advertising in partnership with execution agencies.
- Full-Funnel & Retention: Oversee retention channels (email, SMS, direct mail), quarterly tentpole promotions, and new product launches.
- Financial & Commercial Accountability: Own budgeting and demand forecasting alongside Finance and Operations. You will be evaluated on DTC net sales against budget, new-to-brand acquisition, efficiency metrics, Amazon TACoS, and long-term cohort payback periods.
- Agency Leadership: Coordinate and direct a multi-agency roster spanning performance, creative, Amazon, TikTok, web development, and customer support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
