Director of Human Capital Management, EMEA
The Role
We are seeking a strategic and exceptionally talented Director of Human Capital Management (HCM) to lead the HCM function across the firm’s EMEA offices. The role combines strategic business partnering at a senior level with functional leadership across the breadth of the HCM agenda. The successful candidate will act as a true partner to regional leadership while driving globally consistent, locally nuanced people strategy.
You will demonstrate strong regional leadership presence, managing a talented and high performing local team. You will also have a proactive approach to business partnering, advising and supporting managers through employee relations matters and workforce planning. You will be a trusted confidante to Schonfeld’s leadership team and be that bridge between the management and the employees, ensuring effective communication and fostering a positive work environment.
What you’ll do
- Serve as the primary HCM business partner to senior leadership in the region, providing proactive, commercially focused advice.
- Partner with strategy heads, functional heads and senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning and people strategy.
- Leverage people analytics to spot trends, quantify risk, and present actionable insights that influence people strategy.
- Drive engagement programs that meaningfully elevate the employee experience and culture.
- Oversee the EMEA benefits and payroll activities for the region.
- Provide guidance on regional compensation framework, including salary, bonus and deferred compensation.
- Own key Human Resources activities; which may include but not limited to performance improvement plans, headcount analysis & reporting, end to end process management of leavers, and talent management activities, including succession planning.
- Collaborate with local partners to coordinate internal employee mobility (including international transfers, visas, tax matters) and to align / streamline internal processes.
- Advise on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, separations and sensitive investigation – navigating UK employment law and UAE labour law with confidence.
- Partner with Legal on matters including employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure HR data integrity and accuracy by working closely with HRIS and key systems to streamline reporting processes.
- Ensure global policy alignment with evolving legal and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll bring
- 10+ years of HCM / HR experience, with significant time spent in financial services – hedge fund, asset management or investment banking strongly preferred.
- Regional expertise on EMEA employment practice and working knowledge of UK employment legislation and UAE Labor Law.
- Demonstrated experience leading an HCM function or team while remaining hands-on in a lean, fast-moving environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to operate credibly alongside senior investment and business partners.
- Strong HR business partner experience within financial services with a focus on optimizing talent and building culture.
- Ability to work in a global business, building strong, effective and trusted relationships in multiple geographies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and complex working environment.
- Ability to constructively challenge and influence senior business leaders.
- Expertise partnering with senior business leaders on shaping their organizational strategy and goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; exceptional judgement, discretion and EQ; strong analytical skills and a data-focused mindset.
- Ability to use HR reporting & analytics to generate insights and present these findings to the business.
