Remote working & travel: We offer flexibility around remote working, with the expectation that you’ll attend our London office approximately 2 days per month to connect with the team. The role also involves regular travel to our Lithuania office, approximately 1–2 times per month.
Role Summary:
The Director of IT will lead the organization’s technology strategy, cybersecurity posture, and user support services. This role combines strategic oversight with operational leadership across three core pillars: Enterprise IT, Information Security & Governance, and First-Line User Support. The ideal candidate will align technological initiatives with business goals, safeguard corporate assets, and ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise IT Strategy & Operations
- Enterprise IT Workspace Management: Oversee workspace cloud environments, Google Workspace, enterprise network operations, servers, telecommunications, and system architecture to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Systems Integration & Upgrades: Evaluate, implement, and maintain enterprise software (ERP, CRM, productivity suites) and hardware ecosystems.
- Disaster Recovery & Continuity: Develop, test, and maintain robust Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols to minimize operational downtime.
- Vendor & Asset Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with software vendors, hardware suppliers, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs); oversee IT asset lifecycles and software licensing compliance.
Cybersecurity, Compliance & Risk Management
- Security Strategy & Posture: Formulate and enforce company-wide security policies, threat monitoring, incident response plans, and vulnerability management.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Establish zero-trust policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and role-based access controls across all systems.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure alignment with key industry standards and privacy frameworks.
- Security Training: Conduct company-wide security awareness training, phishing simulations, and routine audits.
First-Line Support & Service Desk Management
- Helpdesk Leadership: Manage Tier 1/2 service desk personnel to ensure rapid incident response, problem resolution, and clear escalation paths.
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Establish, monitor, and optimize IT service metrics (SLA adherence, resolution times, customer satisfaction/CSAT).
- Onboarding & Lifecycle: Standardize device provisioning, access management, and offboarding workflows for employees.
- Knowledge Management: Build and maintain internal documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and end-user self-service tools.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- People Development: Lead, mentor, and hire a multidisciplinary team of network engineers, systems administrators, helpdesk technicians, and security specialists.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership and department heads to address technology needs and remove technical bottlenecks.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 8+ years in progressive IT roles, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or directorship position.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, identity providers (Okta, Entra ID/Active Directory), MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf), network architecture, and modern SIEM tools.
- Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CISM, ITIL v4, PMP, or cloud-specific certifications (AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect).
- Leadership: Strong project management, vendor negotiation, and communication skills to bridge technical concepts with non-technical business leaders.
