Interim Head of Technology / Technology Strategy Director

Contract: 3 Months | Inside IR35 | 1-2 Day per Week in London | Immediate Start

We are seeking an experienced Interim IT Director to provide strategic technology leadership for a leading national organisation during a key period of transformation.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and delivering the technology strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives while driving major technology initiatives, enterprise architecture, cyber security, and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the Technology Strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead the technical design and delivery of major transformation programmes.
  • Oversee Enterprise Architecture, cyber security governance, and technology risk management.
  • Provide strategic leadership to internal technology teams and cross-functional project groups.
  • Manage technology suppliers, sourcing strategy, and vendor relationships.
  • Support budgeting, resource planning, and technology performance reporting.
  • Coach and develop technology leadership capability across the organisation.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience operating at CIO, Head of Technology, or Technology Director level.
  • Strong background in technology strategy, enterprise architecture, and digital transformation.
  • Experience leading large-scale technology programmes and third-party suppliers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including Executive and Board-level engagement.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security governance and technology risk.
