Role Overview
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering ONNEC's global technology vision. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you will lead our global IT function while driving digital transformation, business systems optimisation and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence across the organisation.
You will play a key role in ensuring technology enables business growth, operational excellence, innovation and competitive advantage across our international operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a global IT strategy aligned to business objectives and growth plans.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to drive innovation and digital transformation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team on emerging technologies and technology investment decisions.
- Define and deliver technology roadmaps that support future business requirements.

AI & Digital Transformation
- Lead the development and implementation of ONNEC's AI strategy.
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements and data-driven decision making.
- Champion responsible AI adoption, governance and best practices.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance business performance.
Global IT Operations
- Lead and oversee global IT operations, infrastructure, networks, cloud services, cybersecurity and service management.
- Ensure high levels of system availability, security and performance across all regions.
- Implement robust governance, risk management and change control processes.
- Manage and optimise the global technology budget.
Business Systems & Applications
- Own the strategy, development and optimisation of key business systems including ERP, CRM and HR platforms.
- Ensure systems support scalable business growth and operational efficiency.
- Lead major system upgrades, integrations and transformation projects.
- Enhance reporting, analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach and develop high-performing technology and business systems teams.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Build organisational capability in AI, digital technologies and business systems expertise.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
- Extensive experience in senior IT leadership roles.
- Proven experience developing and delivering enterprise technology strategies.
- Strong understanding of AI, automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience leading ERP and business systems functions.
- Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, governance and service management.
- Experience managing significant technology budgets and global teams.
- Ability to engage, influence and build relationships at Executive and Board level.
Desirable Experience
- Background within technology services, engineering services or similar operational environments.
- Experience leading large-scale business transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of compliance, procurement or wider corporate support functions.
- Experience driving organisation-wide change management initiatives.
Qualifications & Certifications
- ITIL Foundation or higher.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
- CISSP, CISM or equivalent cybersecurity certification.
- ERP platform certifications.
