Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations

Salary: To £110,000 + car allowance + bonus 20% + excellent benefits

Location: Bristol
Hybrid Working

About the Role

As Director of IT Operations & Infrastructure, you’ll lead IT infrastructure strategy, operations, and service delivery for over 15 locations globally while developing the infrastructure and service delivery team.

Modernising the legacy/regional IT infrastructure & Ops to group centralised, standardised, and measured technology investment, here is your opportunity to deliver significant change & value. To do so you’ll:

  • Deliver a global IT Infrastructure strategy & roadmap to standardise infrastructure that supports business growth, improves service, reliability, and supportability. Engage technically to select the right solution to fit business needs.
  • Lead the delivery of infrastructure change, considering the pace and adoption of change.
  • Develop the Infrastructure team into a group-wide function fostering collaboration & unified direction.
  • Budget ownership & Contract management of all infrastructure including selection, negotiations, service delivery.
  • Own IT support & Service Delivery with a focus on ITIL ensuring they meet business needs.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels to facilitate the adoption of change and ensure successful implementations.
  • Build strong relationships with 3rd parties and manage performance and contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Significant IT Infrastructure & Operations leadership for a manufacturing company, with technical breadth across networking, hardware, desktop, data centres, operating systems & Azure Hybrid environments.
  • Still technically engaged to select the right IT infrastructure to meet business needs.
  • Contributed to an IT infrastructure roadmap & strategy for a mid-size organisation.
  • Delivered infrastructure change for an organisation with multi-country operations.
  • Leadership & development of Infrastructure and IT support delivery teams on multiple locations.
  • Infrastructure contract management & commercially astute.
  • Strong relationship builder and stakeholder management.
  • ITIL & ISO27001 and governance such as NIS2.
  • Azure Hybrid environments, Firewalls, Antivirus, BitLocker, and SIEM solutions, MFA solutions and configurations plus Zero Trust Network Architectures.

Compensation

Salary: To £110,000 + Car allowance + bonus 20% + excellent benefits

Location: Bristol - Hybrid working – 3 office days per week.
Occasional travel, mainly UK.
