Director of Property and Land Services

The Director of Property and Land Services is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The role provides strategic leadership, professional oversight and corporate accountability for the management, development and stewardship of the Manchester Diocesan Board of Finance's property portfolio and related assets.

Client Details

Manchester Diocese serves a vibrant, dynamic and creative community in the North West of England. It covers an area of 416 square miles and has a total population of 2.2 million. The diocese is divided into four archdeaconries, seven deaneries and 33 mission communities. There are more than 300 places of worship and chaplaincies, which are organised into 256 parishes and 175 benefices.

Together, we're building a vibrant future for our diocese through four key themes - Parish Renewal, Growing Younger, Church Planting & Revitalisation and Developing Missional Leaders.

This role also offers the opportunity to lead and develop an already talented and committed team, while identifying where additional capacity and expertise can help us meet future needs. We are looking for a leader who can build on existing strengths, encourage innovation, and create an environment in which people can thrive.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
