Manufacturing Director
Location: South Wales
We are supporting a well-established manufacturing organisation in the appointment of a Manufacturing Director to lead the site through an exciting period of transformation, operational improvement, and future growth.
This is a significant strategic leadership appointment requiring a genuine change agent – someone who can establish a clear vision for the operation, inspire and engage teams at every level, and successfully deliver sustainable transformational change across a complex, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role:
The Manufacturing Director will provide strategic leadership across Manufacturing Operations and Engineering, with key responsibilities including:
- Developing and executing the long-term manufacturing and operational strategy.
- Leading major transformation and change programmes, taking people on the journey and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
- Providing inspirational leadership to a sizeable manufacturing organisation and developing a high-performing senior leadership team.
- Driving measurable improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, OEE, and Productivity.
- Providing strategic direction across Engineering, reliability, CAPEX, automation, and future manufacturing capability.
- Building greater accountability, engagement, and ownership throughout the operation.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure manufacturing strategy supports wider business objectives and future growth.

About You:
We are looking for an accomplished senior manufacturing leader with a demonstrable track record of transforming operations and delivering results through people.
You will ideally bring:
- Director-level or significant senior leadership experience within a fast-paced, automated manufacturing environment.
- A proven track record of delivering substantial change, transformation, and operational improvement.
- Strong leadership experience spanning both Operations and Engineering.
- Experience developing senior leaders and building high-performing teams.
- Strong Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence credentials.
- The ability to create a compelling vision, secure buy-in, and successfully embed cultural change.
- A strategic mindset combined with the ability to translate strategy into measurable operational results.
