Director of Marketing, Admissions and Development

Oakham School is seeking an exceptional strategic leader for the newly created post of Director of Marketing, Admissions and Development. The successful candidate will report directly to the new Head, Lucy Pearson, and be a dynamic member of her executive leadership team, helping to shape a bold, strategic vision and spearhead change.


Oakham is an outstanding independent co-educational boarding and day school for some 800 pupils aged 11–18. Located in Rutland in the heart of rural England, the School is a vibrant and well-rounded community. Oakham prides itself on being forward-looking whilst retaining its connection to its heritage and history. Here, young people develop the character, confidence and curiosity to make the most of every opportunity.


Responsibilities:

  • Bring together marketing, admissions, and development functions into a cohesive and collaborative External Relations team.
  • Lead the team with imagination, clarity, and ambition.
  • Shape how Oakham communicates, tells its story, attracts and retains families.
  • Inspire alumni and supporters to remain actively engaged with the School.
  • Create meaningful opportunities for philanthropy and partnership.
