The Role

This is a senior, hands-on contract at Director level, sitting at the heart of the company's marketing and business development function. Leading a small team you will take ownership of campaigns, PR, events, tenders, sponsorship and digital activity, keeping plans on track through a particularly busy and high-profile year. This role will suit an experienced marketing leader who builds trust quickly, brings energy and sound judgement, and can step in and add value from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of marketing and business development plans across the company and individual practice areas, working closely with the Senior Heads of Team
  • Drive strategic business development activity, including sector growth initiatives and cross-selling opportunities
  • Manage the company's bids and proposals process end to end, from coordination through to high-quality submissions
  • Expand and manage the company's social media presence to build profile and drive website traffic
  • Own event management from concept and invitation through to on-the-day delivery
  • Supervise production of marketing materials including brochures, newsletters, tenders and client guides
  • Develop content strategies for practice areas, shaping messaging across PR, blogs, video and podcasts
  • Manage the marketing budget, tracking spend and evaluating ROI across agencies and consultants
  • Line manage and mentor a Marketing Assistant, giving timely, constructive feedback to support their development

What You'll Need

Essential:

  • A third-level qualification in Marketing or a related discipline
  • Significant experience operating at a senior marketing level, ideally within professional services
  • Proven track record delivering multi-channel campaigns across digital, social, PR, sponsorship and brand management
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate ROI and act on data-driven insight
  • Experience managing multiple marketing projects simultaneously to tight deadlines
  • A confident, credible communicator able to build relationships quickly at Partner level

Desirable / Nice to Have:

  • Experience managing, supporting or mentoring a team
  • Working knowledge of content management systems, Canva, Adobe and Google Analytics
