Director of Marketing and Communications – Asset Servicing
Location: London (4 days onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Pay: £759-900/day (PAYE/umbrella)
This role will lead business & product marketing across the organisation’s Asset Servicing platform, helping translate business strategy into differentiated market positioning, client-focused messaging, integrated marketing programs, and commercial outcomes.
The successful candidate will partner closely with Asset Servicing business leaders, product teams, sales, and marketing colleagues to drive market awareness, client engagement, and growth across one of the organisation’s most strategic businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Product Marketing Leadership
- Lead the business & product marketing strategy and execution for the organisation’s Asset Servicing business.
- Develop positioning, messaging, value propositions, and narrative frameworks that differentiate the organisation in the market.
- Translate business priorities into integrated marketing plans that support growth, client retention, and commercial objectives.
- Ensure consistent messaging and storytelling across products, solutions, and client-facing activities.
Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted marketing advisor to Asset Servicing leadership and key stakeholders.
- Partner with product, sales, strategy, and client-facing teams to align marketing activity with business priorities.
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs, market trends, competitive dynamics, and industry developments.

Go-to-Market & Campaigns
- Lead integrated go-to-market plans for new products, capabilities, platform enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
- Drive awareness, consideration, adoption, and engagement through coordinated campaigns and thought leadership.
- Partner with specialist marketing teams across digital, creative, events, communications, and commercialization functions.
Content & Thought Leadership
- Oversee development of compelling content and thought leadership that strengthens the organisation’s market positioning and credibility.
- Support senior executives with key messaging, presentations, client events, and strategic communications.
- Ensure content is tailored appropriately across client segments and buying journeys.
Client & Market Insights
- Leverage client feedback, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and research to inform marketing strategy.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the organisation’s positioning and support commercial growth.
- Translate market insights into actionable recommendations for business and marketing stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications
Required
- Significant experience in financial services marketing, product marketing, or business marketing roles.
- Strong understanding of institutional financial services, asset servicing, custody, fund services, middle office, or related markets.
- Demonstrated success developing product positioning, messaging, and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience partnering with senior business leaders and influencing key stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Proven track record of delivering commercial outcomes through marketing initiatives.

Preferred
- Experience within asset servicing, securities services, asset management, or institutional banking environments.
- Understanding of institutional investor and asset manager client segments.
- Experience supporting thought leadership and executive-level communications.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle marketing and sales enablement.
- Knowledge of emerging trends impacting financial markets, including digital assets, data, AI, and platform-based solutions.
The successful candidate will:
- Quickly establish credibility with Asset Servicing stakeholders.
- Deliver clear, differentiated messaging and marketing programs aligned to business priorities.
- Strengthen market positioning and support commercial growth.
- Build strong partnerships across the Asset Servicing business and the broader Marketing organization.
- Ensure continuity and momentum during the maternity leave period.
