We’re looking for a Director of Marketing who knows how to make a brand matter.

Someone who can see the bigger picture, spot the opportunity others miss, and turn a good idea into work people actually notice.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to simply inherit a marketing calendar. We want someone who can shape the strategy, challenge the brief and decide where our time, attention and budget will have the greatest impact.

What you’ll own

You’ll lead the marketing direction of the business — from how we position ourselves to how we show up in the market.

You’ll set the strategy, build campaigns, shape the creative and make smart decisions about where we invest.

And you won’t be expected to do everything yourself.

You’ll know when to build in-house, when to bring in specialists, and when the right agency, freelancer, creative or production partner can make the work significantly better.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

That means you’ll:

  • Set and own the marketing strategy.
  • Develop campaigns that build the brand and drive commercial growth.
  • Shape briefs and turn business challenges into strong creative opportunities.
  • Find, select and manage agencies, freelancers and specialist partners.
  • Lead brand, content, digital, social and creative activity.
  • Own the marketing budget and know where to spend — and where not to.
  • Work closely with leadership, sales and other teams across the business.
  • Measure what matters, learn quickly and keep raising the standard of the work.

You understand brands, but you’re commercially minded. You appreciate great creative, but you care about whether it works. And you can move comfortably between a leadership conversation and a creative review.

You probably have a strong network of agencies, creatives and specialists — and, more importantly, you know how to recognise great partners when you meet them.

We care less about ticking every box and more about what you’ve built, the decisions you’ve made and the work you’re proud to put your name against.

The opportunity

There’s room here to make an impact.

You’ll have the freedom to shape how we approach marketing, the people and partners we work with, and ultimately how the market sees us.

If you like building things rather than simply maintaining them, we should talk.
