About the Role

We work with 200+ of the most ambitious PE-backed CEOs in the UK. People who are building, scaling and selling businesses. People operating in what we call "the business Olympics."

Their standards are high. Their time is precious. Keeping them genuinely engaged over a multi-year investment cycle is difficult.

Right now, we're systemising and professionalising our membership function so we can scale. The playbook is in its early phases. The systems are not yet fully established. The Honorary Member network (some of the best PE operators in the country) needs management and growth.

We are looking for someone to help write the playbook.

What Does That Actually Mean?

It means understanding the moments in a CEO's journey when they most need clarity:

First 12 Months

  • The shock of private equity ownership.
  • Adapting to a new Board.
  • The investor expectations.
  • The decisions that set the pace.

Value Creation Inflection Points

  • When organic growth stalls.
  • When the team needs building.
  • When the operation must professionalise.
  • When investor pressure intensifies.

Structural Change

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • M&A.
  • Automation and AI.
  • Systems overhaul.
  • Managing the capital structure.

Exit Preparation

  • Succession planning.
  • Preparing the business.
  • Understanding the process and driving competitive tension.

Instead of asking "What can we do for them?", you ask "What do they need right now?" Then you position experiences/events, connections and content to meet them at those moments.

You design quarterly learning sessions that feel perfectly timed (because they are). You recruit Honorary Members who are genuinely exceptional and you protect that standard fiercely as the community grows. You build a relationship with 200+ people that feels deeply personal but operates on repeatable systems. You shape their expectation about what membership means before they ever attend their first session. Then you make sure the experience confirms what you promised.

Who Are You?

You're very credible with C-suite leaders. You've worked with private equity, either in-house, as part of a portfolio management team or a service provider to PE firms and their companies. You understand the rhythm of the investment cycle. You know what keeps CEOs awake at night.

You're a relationship builder who believes that depth beats breadth. You obsess about quality. You've built something before. You know what it feels like to write the playbook as you go, to iterate quickly, to be wrong and learn from it.

You think strategically about when someone needs help, not just what help to give them. You operate with urgency and low ego. You take accountability for outcomes, not activity.

The Reality

This is not a steady-state role. It is entrepreneurial, fast-moving and unfinished.

You will chair dinners in front of C-suite audiences. You will design learning sessions on the issues that matter most to PE-backed leaders right now. You will recruit Honorary Members who meet a genuinely high bar. You will mentor a small team and be accountable for outcomes.

The business is growing at 40% a year. It is unfinished. You will write the standards you believe should exist.

If that sounds exhausting, this probably isn't for you.

If that sounds like exactly the opportunity you've been waiting for, then we should talk.
