Director of MRO Sales - Aviation
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of MRO Sales - Aviation based in United Kingdom.
This is a senior commercial leadership opportunity focused on building and scaling an aviation aftermarket and MRO business from the ground up.
You will own the global sales strategy across rotables, expendables, engines, and landing gear.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on business development, relationship management, and complex deal execution.
You will build trusted relationships with airlines, MROs, lessors, and other key aviation industry stakeholders.
Working closely with sourcing, logistics, and compliance teams, you will help create an efficient and scalable commercial operation.
The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to directly influence revenue growth and the direction of the aviation business.
It is ideal for an established aviation aftermarket sales leader with a strong industry network and a proven record of closing high-value opportunities.
Accountabilities
- Develop and execute the global commercial and sales strategy for the aviation MRO division.
- Drive revenue growth across rotables, expendables, engines, and landing gear.
- Build, maintain, and expand strategic relationships with airlines, MRO organizations, aircraft lessors, and other industry partners.
- Identify new markets, customers, partnerships, and business opportunities across the global aviation aftermarket.
- Build, recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales organization as the division scales.
- Own the sales pipeline, forecasting, performance management, and revenue targets.
- Lead complex negotiations and high-value sales cycles from opportunity identification through contract closure.
- Collaborate with sourcing, logistics, compliance, and other internal teams to ensure successful execution of customer commitments.
- Monitor aviation aftermarket trends, pricing movements, supply and demand dynamics, and competitive developments to inform commercial strategy.
- Develop a scalable sales organization and operating model capable of supporting long-term growth.

Requirements
- 8–15+ years of proven experience in aviation aftermarket, MRO, aircraft parts, or related aviation sales.
- Established network and strong commercial relationships across airlines, MROs, aircraft leasing companies, or other aviation industry stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in at least one major MRO segment, such as rotables, engines, landing gear, or expendables.
- Demonstrated track record of generating significant revenue and successfully closing high-value, complex commercial agreements.
- Previous experience building, managing, or developing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong commercial judgment, negotiation capabilities, and business development skills.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies while remaining hands-on with key customers and opportunities.
- Strong understanding of global aviation aftermarket dynamics, including pricing, supply and demand, and customer requirements.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with significant autonomy and accountability.
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across international markets.
