Director of Network Operations – EV Charging | London / Hybrid | Competitive Package + Bonus + Benefits

Location: London / Hybrid – Remote Initially
Package: Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits
Sector: EV Charging | CPO | Public Charging | Fleet Charging

EVEREC is working with a new and ambitious Charge Point Operator as it prepares to launch and scale a publicly accessible EV charging network across the UK.

We are looking for a senior Director of Network Operations to take ownership of the operational readiness, performance and future development of the network.

Joining at an early stage, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the operational model for the business, taking new charging hubs through operational readiness and into live operation, before overseeing their ongoing technical, commercial and customer performance.

The emphasis of the position is on live network operations and performance – ensuring high availability, strong utilisation, effective supplier performance and an excellent customer experience as the network scales.

This is a rare opportunity to build a network operations function from the ground up, establishing the processes, partnerships and operating model required to support significant future growth.

The Role

You will take ownership of the end-to-end operational performance of the charging network, including:

  • Leading operational readiness as new charging hubs move towards energisation and launch
  • Ensuring maintenance, monitoring, payments, roaming and customer support arrangements are established ahead of go-live
  • Managing network uptime, availability, fault rates and charge-session performance
  • Establishing and managing third-party maintenance, hardware, software and service partners
  • Setting and managing supplier SLAs and performance standards
  • Monitoring utilisation, revenue and wider commercial network performance
  • Identifying opportunities to increase utilisation and enhance customer experience
  • Managing roaming agreements and payment services, alongside supporting energy procurement
  • Understanding power availability, capacity and wider network/grid considerations
  • Using operational and commercial data to drive continuous improvement
  • Building and owning the network operations roadmap
  • Developing a lean and scalable operating model, determining how internal and outsourced capabilities evolve as the business grows
  • Building the internal network operations function over time
  • Working closely with the founders and Board on operational and strategic decisions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
