The Role and Your Impact
As the Director of Nuclear Strategy, you will join the AMRC's Leadership Team to fundamentally spearhead our approach in an incredibly vital sector. You will step into a high-profile ambassadorial space, building trusted networks within DESNZ, Great British Nuclear, the NDA, major nuclear primes, and regional industrial supply clusters. A primary focus will be navigating major growth frameworks, ensuring we maximise long-term value, secure manufacturing advancements, and clean energy innovations for the region. Crucially, your remit will look beyond the AMRC, positioning the broad, multidisciplinary nuclear capabilities of the entire University of Sheffield at the forefront of the national and international nuclear agenda.

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an expert leader who can seamlessly evolve our nuclear strategy in line with changing global geopolitics, net-zero transitions, and energy security priorities. You will possess an extensive, pre-existing network across the nuclear ecosystem and a proven track record of bringing complex academic, governmental, and industrial frameworks together. If you are passionate about driving innovative manufacturing growth and positioning the region as a global nuclear powerhouse, we want to hear from you.
