Overview
At FutureCare, the Director of Nursing oversees the delivery of high-quality care for our residents and drives quality improvement initiatives to ensure we are promoting a positive image throughout the facility as well as implementing and monitoring clinical operational systems and analysis of clinical data.

Responsibilities
- Ensure there are systems in place to facilitate the effective and efficient day to day operation of the Department of Nursing
- Responsible for utilizing the performance improvement process to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Nursing Department
- Monitor clinical data to ensure the facility is meeting the clinical needs of each resident and the clinical goals of the facility
- Initiate appropriate and timely problem identification and problem solving in response to changes in clinical data
- Routinely monitors census, resident acuity, and staffing levels to ensure effective and efficient staffing patterns are in place
- In the absence of the Administrator, responsible for oversight of the facility operations
- Ensure there are systems in place to facilitate timely and effective clinical decision making regarding admission of new residents to the facility
- Participate in the monitoring of patient referrals and actual admissions, identifying potential barriers to admissions, and recommending solutions to accommodate additional types of patients

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Current Maryland RN licensure
- Progressive management experience in a skilled nursing facility highly recommended
