Director of Operations

As we continue to expand and strengthen our Brink’s Global Services (BGS) business, we are seeking an exceptional Director of Operations to lead the full end-to-end operational delivery across this strategically important division within Brink’s UK. This is a senior leadership role with significant scope to shape operational strategy, enhance service excellence, and reinforce our position as a trusted global leader in secure logistics, valuables transportation, international cash management, and high-value supply chain solutions.

This is an opportunity for a proven operational leader who thrives in complex, highly regulated, and customer-centric environments. We are looking for someone with the vision to drive operational transformation, the leadership capability to inspire and develop high-performing teams, and the discipline to deliver safe, secure, and efficient services across a diverse portfolio of global clients and solutions.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the full end-to-end operational delivery across the Brink’s Global Services (BGS) business, ensuring safe, secure, and efficient service execution.
  • Shape and execute the operational strategy to drive service excellence, regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive operational efficiency through digital transformation, automation, data-led decision making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee field operations and service delivery, ensuring high standards of performance, productivity, security, and client service.
  • Maintain robust security, risk, and compliance frameworks, safeguarding people, assets, customer property, and company reputation.
  • Lead Health & Safety, fleet, and facilities management, ensuring operational readiness, effective asset utilisation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Facilities Manager, H&S Advisor, Fleet Supervisor, Field Operations Manager, and other operational team leads, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Manage operational budgets, financial performance, resource planning, and talent development, building capable teams and strong succession pipelines.

What we are looking for

  • A highly experienced operational leader with a track record of delivering performance across complex, multi‑functional environments.
  • Strong background in secure logistics is a must.
  • Proven success driving transformation, digital adoption, and continuous improvement at scale.
  • Deep understanding of operational KPIs, service performance, cost control, and financial management.
  • Experience leading large teams, creating accountability, and building a culture of high performance.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to act as a senior operational partner to key clients.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across all levels.
  • A leader who is hands‑on, resilient, commercially aware, and thrives in fast‑moving environments.
