Role Description
The Director of Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational performance across logistics and e-fulfilment activities, ensuring service quality, efficiency, and adherence to contractual commitments. The Director of Operations will:
- Lead and develop operational teams
- Collaborate closely with commercial and client-facing stakeholders
- Support the integration of new customers and contracts
- Analyse operational data
- Address escalated customer issues
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Strong operations management skills, with proven experience leading complex logistics or supply chain operations.
- Advanced analytical skills for interpreting performance data, identifying trends, and driving data-informed decisions.
- Demonstrated team management capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with budgeting, financial oversight, and cost control within an operational environment.
- Commitment to high-quality customer service, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve issues effectively.
- Background in logistics, 3PL, or e-fulfilment operations; previous leadership experience at senior level is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with internal and external partners.
- Relevant degree in business, supply chain, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with operational technology, warehouse management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is an advantage.
