Routd is an AI-powered vending and logistics platform on a mission to transform how businesses manage delivery, fleet, and last-mile operations. We combine cutting-edge technology with hands-on operational expertise, working across sectors including catering, FMCG, healthcare, and retail - with clients including Amazon, Compass Group, Chartwells, and the Metropolitan Police.

We're a fast-growing company at the intersection of logistics and technology, and this is a pivotal moment for the business - we're looking for an exceptional operational leader to help us scale.

This is a senior leadership role overseeing performance, governance, and continuous improvement across our core UK contracts and technology platform. You'll manage 3 direct reports and act as the critical bridge between executive leadership and operational delivery - ensuring we scale effectively while maintaining exceptional standards of service, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing strategic oversight across multiple operational contracts, monitoring KPIs, fleet performance, and driving continuous improvement
  • Owning senior client relationships, leading contract retention/growth, and supporting tender submissions and commercial negotiations
  • Holding budget responsibility across contracts, working closely with our CFO on P&L accountability
  • Acting as the operational voice into our Routd platform - shaping product development through real client and operational insight
  • Championing quality, risk, and compliance, including supporting our ISO 9001 QMS
  • Leading and developing our Operations Managers - from coaching and performance management through to recruitment and workforce planning
  • Producing executive-level reporting to support strategic decision-making across the business

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years in operational leadership, managing multiple sites, contracts, or business units
  • A track record of leading managers
  • Strong commercial acumen - comfortable with tenders, pricing, and contract negotiation
  • Experience with quality frameworks or compliance programmes
  • Experience in logistics, transport, FM, contract catering, or service delivery
  • Exposure to digital transformation projects
